The biggest annual fighting game tournament in the world returns this weekend, August 3 through 5. EVO 2018, taking place at the Mandalay Bay resort and casino in Las Vegas, has once again attracted the best international FGC talent by the thousands. Our very own Trung "Trungy" Mai will be representing Mentality Esports in the Tekken 7 tournament, which has 1,500 entrants on deck to see who is the best of the best.

Ranked 31st in the Tekken World Tour standings, Trungy has had three Top 8 finishes this season at Combo Breaker, Texas Showdown, and the Norcal Regionals. He also had a respectable 17th place finish at CEO in late June. Building on that momentum will be key to Trungy's success at EVO this weekend.

Trungy and the rest of the Tekken 7 pros will be participating in one of the most exciting fighting game titles around. Tekken 7 is an incredibly fun game to watch, and it's easy for the casual fan to appreciate and understand. Be sure to watch the EVO action on Twitch, and follow the brackets as they're filled out on

The next two Tekken 7 tournaments in North America are Summer Jam in Pennsylvania, taking place August 31 through September 2, and the Socal Regionals in California, playing out from September 14 through 16. Both of these events are part of the Tekken World Tour, with $5,000 and $1,000 prize pool bonuses, respectively. Trungy will be attending both events, while MnT's other Tekken 7 star, NycFab, will be at Summer Jam.
